Data Protection

Data Protection Officer

We take data protection seriously. We are not legally required to appoint a Data Protection Officer and have therefore not designated one.

If you have any questions regarding data protection or the processing of your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Team: contact ( at ) mydaychart.com

How we handle your data

We collect only the data needed to create and deliver your Day Chart report: your first name, email address, date of birth, and place of birth. Our order form does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking, and does not load any resources from third-party servers (all fonts are hosted locally).

Processing of Personal Data

The services and content provided on this website are intended exclusively for private customers. Data processing takes place within the European Union. Our web server is located in Germany and hosted in the data center of a German company. We have concluded a data processing agreement with our hosting provider in accordance with Article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We share your data only with the service providers (processors) described below, and only to the extent necessary to deliver your report or operate this website. Your personal data is never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential information (such as inquiries submitted via our website), this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the “https://” prefix and the padlock icon displayed in your browser’s address bar.

Hosting and Server Logs

Our website and our file storage are hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) with ALL-INKL.COM. All data is processed in Germany. When you access our website, our web server automatically collects information including your browser type, operating system, referrer URL (i.e., the address of the third-party website from which you accessed our website), the hostname of the accessing computer, the date and time of access, your IP address, and the volume of data transferred in bytes. This information is recorded in access logs and error logs and is used by our hosting provider to maintain server operations and for statistical analysis. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests). We do not use this data to create user profiles. Your IP address is anonymized after 24 hours by removing the last octet. The data is deleted no later than seven days after collection.

Place Search

When you search for your place of birth in the order form, your search term is sent from our server to the Nominatim geocoding service operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (UK). The request is proxied through our server: your IP address is never transmitted to OpenStreetMap, only the place name you typed. Search results are cached on our server for up to 7 days. The UK is covered by an EU adequacy decision. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing your order). See the OSMF privacy policy at https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland (“Stripe”). When you place an order, you are redirected to a checkout page hosted by Stripe, where you enter your payment details directly with Stripe, we never receive your card data. We transmit only your email address (to pre-fill the checkout) and a random order ID to Stripe; your birth data is never shared with Stripe. Stripe may transfer data to Stripe, LLC in the United States; these transfers are safeguarded by Stripe’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (see https://stripe.com/legal/dpa). Stripe also processes certain data as an independent controller, e.g. for fraud prevention and to meet its own regulatory obligations (see https://stripe.com/privacy). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Chart Computation

To calculate your Day Chart, we send your date of birth, a set of times of day, and the geographic coordinates of your place of birth to the Human Design API operated by App de Bock, Holsteynstraat 7ZW, 2021 HJ Haarlem, Netherlands. Your name and email address are never transmitted to this service. According to its privacy policy, the service processes birth data in memory only and does not store it after the request completes. Processing takes place on servers within the EU/EEA. We have a data processing agreement with this provider. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

PDF Generation

Your finished report is converted to a PDF by PDFShift (S.A.S.U PDFShift, 128 rue la Boétie, 75008 Paris, France). For this purpose, the report content, including your first name and the results derived from your birth data, is transmitted to PDFShift for rendering and is not retained beyond short-term encrypted backups (up to one week). Data is processed in data centers in France. We have concluded a data processing agreement with PDFShift. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Email Delivery & Waitlist

We deliver your report by email using the sending infrastructure of Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. For this purpose, your email address, first name, and the report PDF pass through Brevo’s servers in the EU. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Brevo. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

If you join the waitlist for an upcoming report, we store your email address with our email service provider Brevo for the sole purpose of telling you about the launch of that report and occasional related updates. We use double opt-in: your signup only becomes active once you confirm it via the link we email you. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email; we then delete your address from the waitlist. Waitlist data is stored separately from order data.

Order Data and Retention

Order data (first name, email address, birth data, chosen place, product, order status, and the timestamps of your consents) is stored in our own order-processing system, operated on our own infrastructure in Germany. Completed orders are automatically deleted 30 days after delivery of your report; orders that were started but not paid are deleted after 7 days. Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. invoices and payment records under German tax law) are retained for the statutory periods; these records do not include your birth data.
